A vacancy has arisen within the microbiology laboratory for an enthusiastic and dedicated Biomedical Scientist to join the team and play an important role in the day to day running of the laboratory.We are looking for a well-motivated, enthusiastic Biomedical Scientist to complement our existing team providing a diagnostic service for the Hull and East Yorkshire area.
The role requires the suitable candidate to work in all sections of the laboratory at the Hull Royal Infirmary site of this UKAS accredited laboratory. This is a well-equipped, laboratory providing a wide range of specialised and routine tests and handling approximately 500,000 specimens per year.
The post holder will be required to work flexibly depending on the needs of the service which may include any future integrated shift system/rotation pattern which operates in the Department (i.e. either day or night throughout seven days per week).
Candidates should possess a BSC in biomedical science (or award pending).
